Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: April 17, 2025
Our Commitment
Applify AI is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards. We're especially focused on making our resume building and optimization tools accessible to job seekers of all abilities.
Standards We Follow
Applify AI aims to be compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, and more usable for everyone in a variety of situations.
The guidelines cover a wide range of recommendations:
- Providing text alternatives for non-text content
- Creating content that can be presented in different ways
- Making it easier for users to see and hear content
- Making all functionality available from a keyboard
- Giving users enough time to read and use content
- Not designing content in a way that is known to cause seizures
- Making it easier to navigate and find content
- Making text readable and understandable
- Making content appear and operate in predictable ways
- Helping users avoid and correct mistakes
- Maximizing compatibility with current and future user tools
Current Status
As Applify AI is currently in beta, we are actively working toward these accessibility goals. Some parts of our application may not yet meet all accessibility standards. We're conducting regular audits and implementing improvements based on our findings.
Accessibility Features
We have implemented the following accessibility features across our application:
1. Keyboard Navigation
All interactive elements are accessible via keyboard navigation. Users can navigate through the application using the tab key, and use enter or space to activate buttons and links.
2. Screen Reader Compatibility
Our application is designed to work with screen readers. We use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes when necessary to ensure that content is accessible to screen reader users.
3. Text Alternatives
We provide text alternatives for non-text content such as images, icons, and visual elements. Our PDF generation creates documents that maintain text-based content for accessibility.
4. Color Contrast
We strive to maintain sufficient contrast between text and background colors to ensure readability.
5. Resizable Text
Our application supports standard browser functions for adjusting text size, and our layout is designed to accommodate these adjustments without loss of content or functionality.
6. Error Identification
Form errors are clearly identified and described, making it easier for users to correct mistakes.
Known Limitations
While we strive for comprehensive accessibility, we are aware of the following limitations:
- Some interactive visualizations may not be fully accessible to screen reader users
- Certain complex features like the drag-and-drop interface in resume building may have limited accessibility
- Third-party components may not meet all accessibility requirements
We are actively working to address these limitations in future updates.
Compatibility with Assistive Technologies
Applify AI is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:
- Screen readers (including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
- Keyboard navigation tools
- Text-to-speech software
- Speech recognition software
- Screen magnification tools
- Browser accessibility extensions
Evaluation and Testing
Our accessibility evaluation process includes:
- Automated testing using accessibility validation tools
- Manual testing with various browsers and assistive technologies
- User testing with individuals who use assistive technologies
- Regular code reviews with accessibility considerations
